Free cancellation up to 7 days before the sailing, with a full refund. Within those 7 days it is non-refundable, unless you move your booking to another Thursday, subject to availability. What exactly is the Traffic Light Experience?

It's a 3-hour social celebration aboard Karaya, the largest catamaran in the Caribbean. Think premium open bar, live DJ, on-board entertainment, and the playful Traffic Light concept where your color tells everyone whether you're open to meeting someone new, it's complicated, or you're just here for the vibes. Every Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, in Bávaro – Punta Cana.

When and where does it happen?

Starting October 1, every Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, boarding at Bávaro – Punta Cana. We recommend arriving 30 minutes early for check-in. The catamaran sets sail on schedule — if you're late, we can't wait.

How much does it cost?

$89 USD per person. That includes the full 3-hour sail, unlimited premium open bar, live DJ, on-board entertainment, light bites, and the Traffic Light Party experience. No hidden fees — what you see is what you pay.

How does the Traffic Light color code work?

It's simple: pick a color based on where you stand socially. 🔴 Red — Taken, or happily not looking for romance. 🟡 Yellow — It's complicated. Open to the right kind of spark. 🟢 Green — Single and open to meeting someone new. Your color sets the tone for how others approach you — it's a fun, low-pressure way to break the ice.

Do I have to wear the color to participate?

It's strongly encouraged — the whole concept works because everyone opts in. Most guests wear clothing in their chosen color, but you'll also get a bracelet/accessory on board. Don't stress the wardrobe: a small accent (shirt, accessory, swimsuit) is enough.

Is this a singles event or a party?

Both and neither. The Traffic Light Experience is a social celebration, not a dating event. Some guests come to meet new people, others come with their partner, others come with friends to dance and enjoy the sunset. The color code just makes social dynamics easier for everyone.

What's included in the open bar?

Three full hours of unlimited pours: Presidente beer, premium rum, vodka, orange juice, sodas (regular & light), and bottled water. Want wine, whiskey, tequila, or champagne? Ask about our premium bottle service on board.

Yes — complimentary light bites are served during the sailing to keep your energy up. For a full meal, we recommend eating before boarding.

Can I bring my own drinks or snacks?

No outside drinks or food are allowed on board. With unlimited premium open bar included, you won't need to.

Is there an age requirement?

Yes. Because this is an adults-only experience with open bar, all guests must be 18 years or older. Valid ID is required at boarding.

Absolutely — and many do. The Traffic Light concept is designed to make solo guests feel comfortable and make connections naturally. Wear green, smile, and let the afternoon do the rest.

Can I book for a group or private event?

Yes. Karaya hosts up to 200 guests, so we regularly accommodate bachelorette parties, corporate events, birthdays, and private celebrations. Contact our sales team for group rates and private charter options.
